In 1976. the house was purchased by family Balić and its complete reconstruction and refurbishment was under way. It was not until the 1988.that the house was habitable and refurbished. No furniture or interior decorations were salvaged though, but it was rebuilt in the same manner and with the use of the identical traditional materials as in its original construction. Only white marble, grey and yellow stone from local quarries were used in reconstruction. Apartments are distributed on three floors, each carrying 2 apartments with terraces and balconies overlooking the ancient Black Pine Trees on the seafront and offering its occupants spectacular view of the Brac sea channel and Monastery’s roof tops and bell tower.
About us
Familly Balić has been in hospitality business in Bol, Brac since the early 80-ies, making them one of the true founders of apartment renting business in their local community. Their recognizable style of hosting awards their guests with extraordinary hospitality, and has kept them all of these years of tourism development on a highest rank among hospitality families with reputation and tradition.
Mrs. Neda Balić, a visionary which has over 20 years ago started with her late hausband Mirko, an adaptation and renovation of an old noble house into a apartment residence, still welcoms her guests with a smile and vigour, offering them with domestic vine, grappa, proscuto, cheese and olive oil. The young will also very gladly assist the visitors with their accommodation, organize a grill on a spacious court fireplace (help guests to choose the best fish or meat), direct the guests to the best beaches, as well to the other Bol atractions and inform them on cultural amenities and facilities.
